Today we played a fun and easy game of Volley ball. The scores were 3 sets to 0 in our favor, some the highlights were kelms serving and everyones team work. I would like to thank mrs c for couching us.

What did you enjoy? I enjoyed how the book explained how a computer works, how the old phones use to work and what fibre optic cables are.

What was the main idea of the book? The main idea was how the modern world communicates.

What did you learn from this? I learnt how the internet works, how fibre optic cables work and what they are.

Who would you recommend it to? I would recommend it to people that like non-fiction books because this is a non-fiction book and it has a lot of information.

What did you like and disliked? I liked the part when the book explained what fibre optic cables were and how they work and also how the book explained how an old phone works. I disliked the book because it had a lot of information and the book has some words I don’t understand.

After The Peer Assessment and Self Assessment Stages, what did you change?

I changed my topic from Solar Eclipse’s to a Total Solar Eclipse because I think it would have taken too long to do all the information on Solar Eclipses as there are more than one.

In the diorama I changed how it was going to be set out. Originally the sun and the earth were going to hang from a string and the moon was going to move. After talking about it with my parents I decided that it was not really going to work.

What did you do well?

I think the information I put on the information report was good because it told people things that they did not know about Total Solar Eclipses.

I think I did a good conclusion because what I said was true and I really want to see a Total Solar Eclipse one day.

I think the final idea for the diorama was good as my original one would not have worked. I think the idea of using the torch worked well because it actually looks like the sun and shows the Solar Eclipse actually happening.

What did you enjoy?

I enjoyed working on the diorama as I like art and craft.

What challenged you?

The challenging part was getting the glue to stick and also getting the sun, moon and the Earth in the right place to show a Total Solar Eclipse.

I had to do the moon on the sticks twice because the first one did not work as it was too long.

I also found finding the information for the report challenging because when I looked it up at school there was little information. When I tried at home there was lots. It also took a long time looking at all the web sites to find the information.

What could have been improved in this piece of work?

I could have maybe done a bit more information for my report, but it was taking too long to finish.

If I had more time for my diorama I could have done more handmade pictures other than printed out pictures.

Today we looked at pictures of fashion. Some of the pictures were bright and colourful and some were black and dark and some had no colour at all, and they were on pieces of paper and we wrote on the pieces of paper, I had a lot of fun.
